Mendel Round Coffee Table

Mendel Round Coffee Table is a versatile, mobile centerpiece designed for dynamic modern living. Featuring a two-tier circular design, the upper tray-style top is crafted with an oak veneer frame in a natural finish, contrasting beautifully with the sleek black surface. A secondary lower shelf provides ample space for storage or decor, all supported by a sturdy metal frame finished in matte black epoxy. Equipped with lockable castor wheels, this table offers effortless mobility, making it perfect for flexible office spaces, contemporary lounges, or as a functional serving cart.

The Mendel Round Coffee Table is a two-tier coffee table measuring Ø 61 × H 45 cm, made from metal and oak veneer in Matt Black Epoxy/Oak/Black. Its tray-style upper surface, lower shelf and lockable castor wheels keep drinks, books and serving items organised while allowing the table to move between a lounge, home office or dining area when needed.

Oak veneer and matte black metal construction

An oak veneer frame in a natural finish surrounds the upper tray-style top, creating a warm contrast with its black surface. The metal frame uses a matt black epoxy finish, giving the table a defined outline that works with contemporary seating and neutral interiors.

The two materials create separate visual zones: the oak detail softens the black top, while the metal support keeps the design visually light. This combination suits homes where a coffee table needs to coordinate with both timber furniture and black metal fittings.

Two-tier storage for everyday living

The circular upper tray provides a contained surface for cups, remote controls, books and small serving items. Its raised frame helps keep loose objects grouped on the tabletop during everyday use.

A lower shelf adds another level for display pieces or items you want within reach but off the main surface. Using both tiers can help keep the seating area clearer without requiring a separate storage unit beside the sofa.

Lockable castor wheels for flexible placement

Lockable castor wheels let you move the table around the room and secure it when it reaches the desired position. This is useful when clearing space for cleaning, rearranging lounge furniture or bringing refreshments closer to guests.

In a home office or flexible living area, the mobile base allows the table to follow changing activities. Engage the locks when the table is positioned beside seating or used as a serving surface.

Suitable uses in compact homes

With its round footprint, the table can sit in front of a sofa, beside occasional chairs or within a compact lounge without creating sharp corners at the edges. The two levels also make it useful where one piece needs to combine a central surface with accessible storage.

Its mobile format can support informal serving in a condo, apartment or house, and can be moved aside when more open floor space is required. Measure the intended position, nearby furniture and the route through doors before assembly.

What comes in the pack and assembly

The Mendel is supplied as a KD, or knock-down, table for assembly at home. Its construction brings together the metal support, oak veneer detailing, two circular levels and castor-wheel base into one movable unit.

Assemble it on a clear, level surface and keep the fixings together until the frame is aligned. Once built, check that the table stands evenly and that the castors lock before placing everyday items on the shelves.

Day-to-day care in a Malaysian home

Wipe spills promptly with a soft, slightly damp cloth, then dry the surfaces to prevent moisture sitting around the oak veneer, black top or metal joints. Use coasters beneath drinks and avoid abrasive pads, soaking wet cloths and harsh cleaning chemicals.

In humid conditions, keep the table in a ventilated room and avoid placing it directly against damp walls or in areas exposed to rain. Lift or roll it carefully rather than dragging it across the floor, and keep the castors free of hair and debris so movement and locking remain smooth.
