The Gerbil Matt Black and Matt Antique Brass Pendant Lamp is a metal ceiling pendant measuring Ø87 × H80–150 cm. Its two-tone finish brings a defined overhead light feature to dining areas, living rooms, bedrooms, hallways or home offices, while the adjustable height helps you position the fitting in relation to your ceiling and furniture.

Metal pendant lamp with a two-tone finish

The shade and structure use metal with a matt black and matt antique brass colour combination. The darker outer tone gives the fitting a clear outline, while the antique brass detail adds a warmer note above a table, seating area or work surface.

This contrast can sit alongside timber furniture, neutral walls, darker furnishings or brass-coloured accents. It gives you a defined ceiling feature without requiring additional decorative pieces around the room.

Adjustable pendant height for ceiling placement

The pendant has an overall height range of 80–150 cm, allowing the hanging position to be considered against the ceiling height and the furniture below it. This is useful when planning clearance above a dining table, coffee table, bedside area or desk.

Before ordering, measure from the ceiling point to the lowest position you want the lamp to reach. Also check the width of the available ceiling area so the 87 cm diameter has room to sit without crowding nearby walls, cabinets or fittings.

For dining, living and work areas

Its broad circular form creates a noticeable overhead presence for rooms where a central ceiling light is part of the layout. Use it above a dining setting, in a living room seating zone, over a home office desk or in another area where the ceiling point is positioned to serve the space.

Plan the placement around movement and sightlines. In a dining area, compare the hanging height with the seated eye line; in a walkway or hallway, leave comfortable head clearance and account for doors, shelving and other overhead elements.

What arrives in the pack

The lamp arrives fully assembled, so the fitting itself does not need to be put together from separate shade or frame components. This reduces preparation before installation and makes it easier to check the shape and finish as soon as it is unpacked.

The pack contains the assembled pendant lamp. Electrical connection and ceiling installation should be handled with the appropriate care for the existing ceiling point and household wiring.

Day-to-day care in a humid home

Dust the metal surfaces with a soft, dry cloth, using light strokes around the finish and any visible joins. For occasional cleaning, use a slightly damp cloth and dry the surface afterwards so moisture is not left sitting on the metal.

Keep the fitting away from direct water and avoid abrasive pads, strong solvents or harsh cleaners, which can mark the matt black or matt antique brass surfaces. Switch off the light and allow it to cool before cleaning.
