The 1.7m X 2.4m Mitad Rug in Sand Colour is a 100% wool rug measuring 243.5 × 174 cm, designed to define a seating area and add a soft textile layer beneath furniture. Its neutral sand tone can sit alongside timber, upholstered and painted finishes in a living room, bedroom, dining area or home office.
100% wool rug for everyday room styling
Wool gives this rug a natural textile surface with visible fibre character underfoot. The material brings warmth and texture to hard flooring, helping a room feel more layered without changing the main furniture.
The sand colour provides a restrained base for darker sofas, light upholstery, timber furniture and patterned cushions. It can also help visually connect separate pieces within an open-plan living area.
A defined area for seating, dining or working
At 243.5 × 174 cm, the rug creates a clear footprint for a sofa arrangement, reading corner, dining setting or desk and chair. Positioning furniture partly over the rug can make a large room feel more organised, while placing smaller pieces within its boundaries creates a compact zone.
Before ordering, mark the floor with masking tape or folded paper to see how the rug sits around walkways, door swings and furniture legs. Leave enough clearance for doors and allow a comfortable route around the edges.
How the sand colour works with Malaysian homes
The understated shade works with the practical mix of tiles, timber-look flooring and painted walls found in many condos, apartments and houses. It can soften a room with predominantly hard surfaces while keeping the overall palette easy to adjust with artwork, curtains or cushions.
For a humid home, keep the rug in a well-ventilated room and avoid placing it where moisture can remain beneath the fibres. Air circulation and prompt attention to spills help keep the floor area fresh.
What arrives in the pack
It arrives fully assembled, so there is no fitting, joining or construction step before you lay it out.
Plan the route from your entrance to the room before opening the package, particularly in a condo or apartment with narrow lifts, corridors and doorways. Clear the floor first so the rug can be positioned without dragging it across clutter.
Day-to-day rug care
Vacuum regularly using a suitable setting for wool rugs, moving gently across the surface rather than using excessive force. Rotate the rug from time to time if the room layout allows, which helps distribute everyday foot traffic.
Blot spills promptly with a clean, absorbent cloth instead of rubbing them into the fibres. Keep the rug away from prolonged dampness and allow the underside and floor beneath it to stay dry.
