Fitting a storage cabinet into a work corner

Most of these cabinets stand around 85 to 100 cm high, a little above a 76 cm desk, so one placed beside the desk adds a second surface for a printer, a paper tray or a lamp. The taller models, up to about 144 cm, hold more and are better placed against a wall.

Depth runs from about 30 to 42 cm. A deeper cabinet takes a printer or box files comfortably, while a shallower one keeps a narrow room or passage clear. Measure the gap between the desk and the nearest wall or door before choosing a width of 80 or 120 cm.

Laminated board on a metal frame is sturdy and easy to wipe, and the Matt Black Epoxy frames sit well with walnut boards for a modern look. Wipe up spills straight away so moisture does not get into the board edges.
