Hallway furniture for the space just inside your front door: shoe cabinets in laminated board and Malaysian oak, framed mirrors, metal coat and towel hangers, and a slim ladder hanger, mostly in black, natural and oak tones.
Start with the walkway. Measure the wall where the furniture will stand, check how far the front door swings, and keep a clear path of around 80 to 90 cm so people can pass with bags. The shoe cabinets in this section are mostly 30 to 38 cm deep, slim enough for a narrow entrance, and range from about 60 to 120 cm wide.
Next, decide what has to live by the door. A low cabinet around 70 to 90 cm high gives you a top for keys and post, a tall one near 190 cm holds more pairs on a small footprint, and an open shoe rack with a bench lets you sit down to put shoes on.
Hang a mirror beside or opposite the door to bounce light into a dark entrance, and place coat or towel hangers where wet umbrellas and damp clothes will not drip onto laminated board. In humid weather, an open rack also lets damp shoes dry faster than a closed cabinet.
